Our charts explain how relationships are normally described. They are not proof of ancestry, and they shouldn't be used for legal, immigration, inheritance or medical purposes. Naming conventions also vary between cultures and countries. Anything official needs documented records, and any question about inherited conditions needs a doctor or a genetic counselor rather than a chart.

Everything on CousinChart is published for general information and general use. We can't know your circumstances, your location, your household or the particulars of whatever you're trying to do — so what you find here can't account for them.
